Skin Concerns: Sensitive Skin
This product definitely deserved a Friday Favourites post. Hands down the best fake tanning product I have ever used. This product was featured on the series of dragons den, and entrepreneurs invested into this product. I saw a lot of hype about it on Facebook and Instagram and wanted to give it a go. I’m normally a gradual tan person however these do often bring out my eczema, the instant tanning mouse seemed to be the most popular product so I decided to give that a try instead. I don’t think I would ever go back or try a different instant tan again, so happy with this product!
So firstly, how does it work? Following the directions on the bottle, I applied the tan (using a tanning mitt) in circular motions all over my body (with some help on my back). Left it to dry before dressing – which literally takes two seconds, not wet or sticky at all! I then went to sleep. The next morning then woke up and took a shower as normal, and I had an amazing golden glow!
The BEST thing about this tan is that it doesn’t streak! I had cut my leg a little when shaving and yes it did go a little darker there but that’s understandable. Whenever I have used any other tan before no matter how carefully you apply it, there are always streaks but not with this one!
As for eczema and rashes (which often occurs for me and many others with fake tan and sensitive skin) was not too bad! Some eczema was already there but I wouldn’t say this caused me to flare up at all. My chest and back were once large suffers of acne and after applying this tan several times now I have had no breakouts!
This fake tan contains no harsh chemicals and uses natural tanning agents as well as organic coconut and organic Aloe Vera which give it a nice smell and to help moisturise. It also contains cellulite active caffeine from naturally sourced Guarana Berries.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a good fake tan, whether you have problems with your skin or not. Its also a very affordable price. You can buy it in super drug, but take a look at their website as you can see more of their products -here.

P.s. Im working on a new theme! Coming in a few weeks!
A few months ago, I won a wonderful beauty blogger kit from Garnier. It contained the ultimate blends colour illuminator shampoo and intensive 1 minute treatment. Although its not skin related, it was sent to me and it does deserve a review.
The moroccan argan oil and cranberry extracts adds a lovely sent to the products and left my hair feeling soft and smooth. My favourite product is the 1 minute treatment, I used this once a week and left it in my hair whilst washing my face and shaving my legs etc. Once blow drying this left my hair feeling super soft and bouncy.
Skin Concerns: Acne / Blemish Prone
I was recently sent a sample of help: clear skin supplements by Works with Water to try. These supplements contain a protein known as lactoferrin. Surprisingly just prior to my discovery of these supplements I had been researching lactoferrin after I read in a magazine about its skin clearing properties.
The aim of these are to take them every day for about a month, I started doing this quite a few months ago and just didn’t keep up with it, this is my own fault due to often forgetting to take it. Recently, I decided to try again and do the rest, the box contained 28 sachets, however, this time I took around 20 sachets (as I had already used some before).
Skin Concerns: Dry Skin / Acne / Combination Skin
I always find it a struggle when my skin is having a really dry week, it gets flaky and sore for no reason whatsoever, and this happens particularly in the winter. As I suffer with eczema, which normally occurs on my body, but sometimes patches of dry skin on my face can feel like eczema. Unfortunately, most products that relieve dryness are unbelievably oily, and I wouldn’t risk applying my eczema treatment on my face in fear of breakouts! For day to day moisturising use, most of us, who suffer with oily skin and acne would use oil-free moisturisers. However, when the skin is incredibly dry these are pretty useless, and I don’t think that they help the situation at all. Therefore, it is very hard to get the right balance, you want to relieve the dryness without making it the skin too oily and causing break outs!
The Effaclar Range
I have already expressed my love for La roche posay’s efflaclar H. The ultimate anti-redness moisturiser, that actually works after the first use! But isn’t the only good product that is produced la roche posay. I have soon discovered that their entire effaclar range is amazing, particularly for those with acne prone or sensitive skin. Black friday sales made me crazy with this brand this year, my derma centre (which I will tell you now is an amazing retailer of la roche posay and vichy, particularly in the sales!) had a huge 40% off, and I spent barely anything and got lots and lots of different la roche posy products and samples. Of course I stocked up on two or three effaclar H’s.
